Milwaukee Movement | Innovative Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation

I started Milwaukee Movement because I wanted to create a different kind of sports medicine experience—one that feels personal, supportive, and empowering. My goal is to make sure every patient not only knows what their diagnosis means but also understands their care plan and feels confident in the steps we’re taking together. I want my patients to come into each appointment knowing they can communicate openly and authentically with me, without anxiety, and leave feeling understood, supported, and equipped with the tools they need to heal. I believe in collaboration—working together to design a care plan tailored specifically to each individual. Above all, I want to make sure your care feels approachable, authentic, and designed around what matters most to you.

THE vision

From Under the Lights to Leading the Movement

Hi team Milwaukee Movement! My name is Rhianna and I am the founder and owner of Milwaukee Movement. I opened the clinic in 2020 as I noticed a need in the community for quality patient care offerings for our active population. I saw that the root cause of injury was often times failing to be addressed which left patients to manage their symptoms and remain uncertain about what could actually be causing their pain.

Having spent time working in professional sports with the Houston Texans, USA Futsal National Team, Milwaukee Wave, and Milwaukee Torrent, I saw the care that was delivered to the professionals and I wanted to make that accessible to the local community of athletes.

In personally dealing with five years of chronic pain and injury, I have a passion to help my patients address their root cause of injury and return them to a life of movement!

OUR vision

Sidelines. Fanny pack. Rolls of tape. Weekend travel. Nights. Fan filled stadiums. Under the lights. This is the type of athletic trainer I wanted to be and the lifestyle that I planned to live. But graduating during a pandemic has a way of changing plans and I found myself creating Milwaukee Movement so that I could have a job.

GO back

Having had experience at the pro level, I became aware of what resources are available to the top tier of athletes. In being exposed to the gold standard level of sports medicine care, I quickly realized that there were needs in my community that were not being met. I aim to bring care thought only to be accessible to professional athletes, and make it accessible to any individual who could walk into my clinic.

You deserve a life of movement

My Transformation

Maybe you had an injury that never truly healed. Now, years later, it feels like your only choice is to live with the pain and let it quietly shape your days.

Or maybe you’ve been passed from one provider to the next…
  • You’ve had the scans and the imaging.
  • You’ve spent months in physical therapy.
  •  You’ve tried one treatment after another.
And yet—relief still feels out of reach. Hope feels far away.

That’s where I found myself at just 16 years old. Far too young to carry the weight of chronic pain and lifelong injury diagnoses.

I poured my energy into both traditional and alternative treatments, searching for answers. But years later, I was still left empty-handed, exhausted, and hopeless. The breaking point came when a doctor told me: “Maybe your pain isn’t real. Maybe it’s just in your head.”

Hearing that was devastating. It was the moment I almost gave up.

My Transformation

  • Countless visits with orthopedic doctors
  • Weekly chiropractic adjustments
  • Consults with my high school athletic trainer
  • X-rays and an MRI
  • 9 months of physical therapy (until insurance stopped covering, because there was no “progress”)
  • Pain medication every single day
  • Constant swelling in my knees
  • Walking with a limp
  • Ice packs every night for 3 years
  • Forced to quit club volleyball and running
  • Told: “You should never run more than a mile.”
  • Strict shoes, strict diet changes, endless supplements…
By the time I entered college, I had accepted “pain management” as my reality. I still moved—running short distances and doing bodyweight exercises—to protect my mental health, but my pain was always there, lingering between a 2/10 and 7/10.

Everything I Tried

My Transformation

After 5 years of pain, I finally met a clinician who changed my life.
In just three appointments, I went from living in constant pain to feeling… nothing. Complete relief.

At the same time, I was in school studying to become an athletic trainer. That moment gave me my mission:
  • Never give up on a patient.
  • Look beyond masking symptoms—address the root cause.
  • Believe in every person’s potential for a pain-free life.

The Turning Point

My Transformation

My Transformation

My journey shapes the way I now show up for the patients I care for. So many of my patients arrive feeling like I once did—tired, frustrated, and afraid there’s no way forward.

Here’s what I promise them:
  • Gentle encouragement and genuine hope
  • A safe space to be heard and believed
  • A treatment plan that keeps going when others have stopped
  • A cheerleader at every single session
  • A partner who won’t give up—ever
  • Because someone stood in the gap for me, I now get to be that person for them. I show up with an enthusiastic smile, a caring heart, and the belief that their story can look different, too.

How. I Care For My Patients

My Transformation

Because I didn’t give up—and because someone believed in me—life at 28 looks far different than it did at 16:
  • Said goodbye to chronic pain at age 21
  • Back to running: 1 marathon, a 25k, 4 half marathons, and counting…
  • Free to exercise without limits
  • No more ice packs, medications, or diet restrictions
  • I wear any shoes I love (finally!)
  • I kneel pain-free with my athletes every single day

Where I am Now

Pain does not get to have the last word.
 Your body deserves care.
You deserve to move freely and live with confidence.
It’s my goal to educate & equip you with the tools you need to heal and thrive. I want you to be able to become independent and do more of what you love.

Let’s Begin Together
I believe in your healing, even if you don’t—yet.
I’m already cheering for you, and I can’t wait to meet you with a smile.

My Heart For You
